One of Tuscaloosa's favorite local restaurant's Oasis bar-and-grill grill has announced their reopening. After temporarily shutting down due to the death of the owner Jr Hall, they are ready to open their doors to the public. We received this note on behalf of Jr's wife Lindy Hall.
"Lindy Hall would like to thank everyone for their understanding at this time, she would like to announce that the Oasis will be opening on Tuesday, February 8th, business as usual. Thank you so much"
Personally, I couldn't be any happier The Oasis bar-and-grill is reopening. I pray they continue making the best cheeseburger in the state for a long long time to come.

Background......

Over the weekend a story was published asking why one of our favorite establishments in Tuscaloosa, AL The Oasis Bar And Grill was shut down. Fortunately, we did find out that they are not permanently closing their doors. We also found out the Oasis family suffered a tragic loss.

We received this note from the owner of Oasis Bar and Grill.

"I would like to thank everyone for the thoughts, prayers & outpouring of love in this hard time with the loss of my beloved husband, Jr. Hall. The Oasis will reopen very soon, I appreciate everyone's patience and understanding in this trying time." Lindy Hall. Please keep the family in your prayers.

We will also keep in touch with the ownership, so we can let everyone know when they are ready to reopen.

But to my surprise when I arrived it was shut down. Does anybody know what happened did covid finally hit this Tuscaloosa staple? If so, I'm devastated, how can this happen right under our noses. No warning, no cry for help, it's just shut down.  I'm hoping that's not what happened. I'm hoping there's just a staffing shortage or some other reason like a covid outbreak, But please tell me it's not shut down for good. If you have any information please let us know.
