Have You Seen These Monsters That Have Taken Over Tuscaloosa, Alabama?
Seriously, have you seen the monsters that have taken over? I have, and it is something you have to see for yourself.
So, be sure you are keeping your eyes open as you stroll through Downtown Tuscaloosa and even at Government Plaza. It would be best if you didn’t miss these monsters. Please don’t be too scared. They are friendly monsters.
Since it is the season for all things spooky, it makes sense that the Monster Makeover project has invaded Tuscaloosa. According to the City of Tuscaloosa, “this is where “students would imagine a fun monster, draw their unique creation and provide a description.” Now the “public art sculpture class at the University of Alabama took on the challenge of turning the students’ creations into 3D metal sculptures. The class created a series for both Downtown Tuscaloosa and the Riverwalk.”
As a supporter of all things art-related, I love that this project supports the creative minds of elementary-aged students in our area. I believe the arts in our school systems are crucial. Honestly, I don’t know where I would be if I didn’t have an art background. Art helps in so many areas like the creative mind, motor skills, builds social skills, and so much more.
