New Northport Car Wash Opening With Four-Day Celebration Benefitting Nonprofit
A new car wash is coming to Northport later this month, and its grand opening weekend will raise money for an Alabama nonprofit serving disaster survivors and homeless veterans.
New Day Car Wash will celebrate the opening of its new location at 6201 McFarland Boulevard with a four-day event from Thursday, August 20, through Sunday, the 23rd.

After a ribbon-cutting on Thursday at 11 a.m., guests who donate $5 or more to High Socks for Hope throughout the weekend will receive a free Signature Car Wash, which New Day valued at $35 in a press release.
Every dollar raised will also be matched by Sonny's CarWash Factory and LIV Development, doubling the impact for the Northport nonprofit, which provides essential household furnishings and long-term recovery support to families rebuilding after hardship across Alabama.
"Our goal is to celebrate becoming part of the Northport community while giving back to an organization that is making a real difference in people's lives," said Winslow Barrett, General Manager of New Day Car Wash. "We invite everyone to come out, enjoy the festivities, receive a great car wash, and help support High Socks for Hope."
Each day of the grand opening features food and drink from local vendors, with complimentary samples and freebies while supplies last:
- Thursday, Aug. 20: Chicken Salad Chick & Brewed Awakening Coffee Truck
- Friday, Aug. 21: Brewed Awakening Coffee Truck; T-Town Snow
- Saturday, Aug. 22: T-Town Snow
- Sunday, Aug. 23: Brewed Awakening Coffee Truck; Surf's Up Shaved Ice from 2 to 6 p.m.
Talent from Townsquare Media Tuscaloosa's country music powerhouse 95.3 the Bear will also broadcast live during the grand opening festivities.
