Man Beat With Bat At University Village

Another serious crime in Tuscaloosa, this time at University Village apartment complex.

According to AL.com police were called to check out reports of an assault. When they arrived they found a man beaten with a baseball bat and pinned on a pool fence.

It is believed that as the victim fled his attacker, he tried to jump over a nearby pool fence, but slipped and was partially impaled by a post.

The alleged assailant continued swinging the baseball bat at the man while he was pinned on the fence.

What could have possibly gone on that someone would beat an injured person pinned to a fence with a baseball bat? Have we as a community lost the ideals and values that make our communities strong? Full Story
