Monday Outlook: More Severe Weather for Portions of Alabama
It’s been so many days of severe weather in our area and across the southern region, I’ve lost count.
Over that period, Alabama was hit multiple times with flooding, damaging winds along with extra-large hail, and some areas experienced a tornado.
We will be monitoring the next few days for severe weather impacts to our area. Here is the latest information.
Timing and Threats
“A severe thunderstorm threat continues today through 5 pm across generally the southeast half of Central Alabama. The best chances will generally be south/east of Interstate 85 today. Threats include damaging winds up to 60 mph and large hail,” said the National Weather Service in Birmingham.
Risk Areas
Townsquare Media coverage areas under a “marginal” risk includes a portion of Perry and Bibb counties.
