The Tuscaloosa River walk just got a little bigger, the new phase is ofically open to the public. The looks of it is Fantastic, rally showing how fast this city is growing, and this project is just one aspect of the growth of the city.

This nearly 1,400-foot long section extends east from the gazebo at Manderson Landing.

It took about a year to complete this latest, $1 million phase -- 80 percent of which was funded through the Federal Highway Administration's National Scenic Byways program.

The Amphitheater is just one part of this project that was built in 2011 at 15 million. What other plans are slated for Downtown? This is just the beginning The city is on The upswing, and this and other projects are planned for the future.
