Why Has No One Ever Heard of Tuscaloosa, Alabama’s Palmore Park?
We do have some of the most amazing green spaces in Tuscaloosa County. I don’t think our parks get enough recognition. Most often, I find our parks clean, enjoyable, and each one offers a different specialty.
This past weekend, I visited Palmore Park on Foster Ferry Road. What an amazing spot. I intended just to go and play Pokémon Go. (I feel you judging me right now). However, the morning turned into something else. I think I found another great place to go walking.
Palmore Park is such a great place to go walking for many reasons. The top reason is the public restrooms. Lots of space to roam, there are so many open fields to walk. Plus, there are walkways as well.
It was just me out there walking for a while, and then some other people came out. Be sure to add this park to your walking hit list because the temperatures should be cooling off as we head into the fall season.
There are many attractions to Palmore Park. There are shelters, lots of green space, a vibrant skate park, playgrounds, a disc golf area, and the Harrison Taylor Splash Pad. Plus tons of amenities. I can’t wait to go back for my next walking excursion.
Ok, back to the reason that I was there, to play Pokemon. Believe it or not, there are still tons of people that still play. So, if that is you, let's be friends in Pokémon GO! My trainer name is MaryKRadio, and my code is 8272 8731 5233! Let me tell you, Palmore Park is loaded with all varieties of Pokémon to catch, lots of PokeStops, and Gyms. I was having a blast.
