The Tuscaloosa Tourism and Sports Commission has shared a touching tribute to the local businesses and attractions that make the City of Champions so special.

Titled "Tuscaloosa--We'll See You Soon," the video was uploaded to YouTube last Thursday (April 30th). It features local hotels, restaurants, and entertainment venues, showcasing employees and owners alike sharing the message "We'll see you soon."

Each business in Tuscaloosa is adapting to the novel Coronavirus pandemic in a different way. Places like The Avenue Pub and Session have had to close their doors while others like The Left Hand Soap Company and Oz Music have modified their business plans to encourage online shopping and curbside pickup.

I think the Tuscaloosa Tourism and Sports Commission's video is so special because it serves as a reminder that we are all in this together. COVID-19 may have us down, but there are better days around the corner; if we work together, we will most certainly make it through.

I have to admit that I got choked up watching this video from the Tuscaloosa Tourism and Sports Commission. I saw several of my friends and neighbors showcasing their businesses and restaurants--places like Central Mesa, Druid City Brewing Company, The Left Hand Soap Company, Black Warrior Brewing Company, Hotel Indigo, and so many more.

I also had to fight back tears when I saw that opening shoe of the stadium. I have lived in Tuscaloosa for eleven years now, and there is still something magical about seeing Bryant-Denny. It never gets old.
