West Alabama Weather: Possible Damaging Winds, Hail
Our area has had consecutive days of hot conditions and severe weather threats. Today is no different.
The Friday morning severe weather threat has ended. Now, we are monitoring soaring heat index values and the potential for additional strong to severe storms in our area later today.

Friday Risk Areas
The Storm Prediction Center has portions of Alabama under a “Marginal Risk” zone. This includes the following Townsquare Media coverage area counties:
Bibb
Greene
Hale
Perry
Pickens
Sumter
Tuscaloosa (good sized portion of the county)
Possible Threats
We are monitoring the potential for damaging winds up to 60 mph and quarter-sized hail.
Timing
Currently, the timeframe is between Noon and 7 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday Outlook
This weekend you can expect a mix of sun, clouds, and scattered showers and storms. Plus, hot and humid conditions.
James Spann, ABC 33/40, and Townsquare Media Tuscaloosa Chief Meteorologist said that the "chance of any one spot getting wet both days is near 40 percent.”
