Coming Soon: Community Job Fair Hosted by the Tuscaloosa Branch of the NAACP

If you are looking for a job or interested in upgrading your current job, save the date for the upcoming community job fair hosted by the Tuscaloosa Branch of the NAACP. According to the press release from the Tuscaloosa Branch of the NAACP the job fair will take place on “Wednesday, March 30, 2022, at the McDonald Hughes Community Center, located at 3101 Martin Luther King Blvd, Tuscaloosa AL 35401, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. This event is open to the public, and there is no fee to attend.”

Lisa Young, President of the Tuscaloosa Branch of the NAACP, said that this job fair is important because it “will connect job seekers with potential employers and provide them with opportunities to see the various industries that are hiring. We're going to have representatives from every industry possible to make sure everyone that attends this job fair can match their particular talent and interest with a potential employer. In today's economy, people are looking to maximize their earning potential and we feel this community Job Fair can help serve in that capacity.”

What Types of Employers Will be There?

Come ready at the job fair with your resumes. There will be “representatives from the medical, automotive manufacturing, production, hospitality, law enforcement, emergency services and more employment sectors looking to employ both full and part-time job seekers will meet with job seekers on-site.”

Also, the Tuscaloosa Branch of the NAACP said that if any employers are “desiring to attend the job fair can register by emailing tuscaloosanaacp@gmail.com.”

Young feels that the Tuscaloosa Branch of the NAACP feels that “advocacy is the very core of the mission of the NAACP.  Any way we can support our communities and help bring about equality, we need to make sure we're helping to provide those opportunities. We do what we can.”
