How Tuscaloosa Families Can Score Free Ice-Skating Passes
You can glide into the season’s magic at the annual Holidays on the Place outdoor ice-skating rink. It’s open now through January 1, 2026, at Government Plaza in Downtown Tuscaloosa. It’s a great way to celebrate wintertime with family, friends, and it is perfect for all ages.

Plus, while you enjoy frosty fun, you’ll be skating against the dazzling backdrop of Tuscaloosa’s One Place Tinsel Trail. You will find over 200 festively decorated trees by local businesses and organizations.
Admission to Holidays on the Plaza is free and open to the public, but skate passes are required for skate rental and ice rink access. Click here for ticket information and prices.
