Many parents across the country complain about being unable to get their children to do anything other than play video games. That may change after they hear about what happened last night.

The competition, which took place at the Arthur Ashe Stadium in New York, offered $30 million in cash prizes. Of course, this brought out millions of gamers, trying their hands for chances to play in the finals... Roughly 40 million, actually. Those were narrowed down to 100 contestants from 30 countries.

Another man from the US won second place in the solo games, with a payout of $1.8 million. The duo competition was won by a 17-year-old from Austria and a 16-year-old from Norway. They will each receive $1.5 million.

All of a sudden, spending countless hours playing video games doesn't seem as bad. As a matter of fact, parents (and wives) just might be more apt to pick up a controller. After all, gaming can be a bonding experience... In addition to being an avenue to becoming a multimillionaire.
